Went to Trader Joe's for groceries and brought home these brown rice sushi type items and some spring rolls.
While I'm enjoying my sushi type items I witness this little encounter.
4 is walking around with a smiley face stamper.
Hubby: "You can only use that stamper on paper. I don't want to see it on the walls or the floor or anywhere but paper, okay Buddy?"
4: "Okay Daddy."
Hubby walks away with a false sense of parental perfection as 4 walks over to the pile of bills and starts stamping our mortgage statement. Which is, of course, paper.
Personally, I think the person who receives our payment will think it has that certain je ne sais quoi. No?

Dinner was spaghetti (I made the sauce) with toasted par baked artisan bread topped with butter and parmesan cheese.
We tried some Mochi for the first time. It took a few bites to get used to it but we ate it all.
Hubby: "It's like ice cream with skin on it."
I don't think we'll be enjoying Mochi again anytime soon.
Bon Appetite
"ice cream...with skin." LOL, no, I wouldn't think I'd want that again either after that imagery.
ReplyDeleteyou might want to try mochi squares as just a topping stirred into fro-yo before giving up on it entirely...they're nice that way, rather like marshmallow but denser and slightly less sweet.
That's sounds kind of brilliant! Will do.
ReplyDeleteThanks atinykingdom!
What the hell is Mochi??? Not that I will probably ever try it after your hubby's description...but you never know. I may get a wild hair and decide, what the hell!
ReplyDeleteZanymad you are hilarious. Mochi is a Japanese ice cream made out of rice. I got some at Trader Joe's that day.
ReplyDeleteTake a look at this.
