Day 70 from France:
Shaboom Gets Mugged

Shaboom sends us her update from Paris...

I didn't get any sleep last night. Kept worrying and trying to decide what to do about Los Angeles. I worked at the farmer's market this morning but did not have to sell ugly ladies clothes in the afternoon!! Obsessed! sold his crêpes at the market in the booth next to me and he made a killing! I think he might burst, he's so happy. Maybe that's why we had AMAZING indoor cardio. That man is on FIRE today.

Or maybe it's due to the fact that I shaved my legs for the first time since January. Um... yeah. I wanted to take a picture of it and share with you but my hair was too blond to show up and I really wanted to wow you. Foiled again.

This afternoon I was scheduled to sing my final audition at that bar in the 2nd arrondissement but they canceled last minute THANK GOD! I didn't have the energy for it today. I made it to the Apple Store (with an appointment) and got the bad news that my video card is fried so I need to leave the machine with them to replace the part. Too bad that while I was waiting for my appointment, I booked flights to LA online departing Paris TOMORROW which means I'll have to drop my computer at the mac store in LA.

This afternoon after the Apple Store, I had drinks with girlfriends and then when to chorale rehearsal where I noticed I'd gotten a huge mosquito bite that I swear has invaded about one square foot of my back. It's amazeballs. I ate quiche, sausage, hashbrowns with onions for dinner. I drank a pot of tea today and had yogurt for breakfast. Lots of stairs. Lots of walking.

Oh yeah, on my way home from rehearsal, I got mugged. It sucked. I no longer have an iphone and my computer is broken and I had to spend the entire evening at the police station filing reports. Obsessed! feels guilty. Click HERE for more.

  1. I am so very sorry. How terrifying to be mugged and to lose your beloved iphone and computer. Take good care of yourself.

  2. Hey--Dammit that sucks! I was robbed about 4 years ago--I think a few meth heads broke into my home and took alot of valuables and some key stuff like the spare keys to my fiat, my company credit card, my laptop, ipod and cell. I woke up and our door was wide open. The most important thing was that all of my kids were safely sleeping in their beds.

Sometimes, you gotta be thankful for that, and let all the B.S. go.

Have a good trip--Get well soon laptop!
