Day 38 From Burbank: Score!!!

Karen sends her posts from Burbank, CA, USA

Ran out of tea.
Had to have coffee.
Had one cup with 2%milk.
Ran out of 2%milk.
Second cup with half 'n half and a little sugar.
I know.
It's a slippery slope.

Breakfast 2 hard boiled eggs with mayo and mustard.
Rush off to a couple appointments.

One was in Santa Monica.
SCORE!!!
9 story parking structure!!!
True Story.
I know this doesn't sound like a score to some but now I get excited when I see giant flights of stairs. It represents chocolate croissants, pasta and never dieting again. Also, going up and down 1 flight of stairs is so mind numbing I get dizzy and want to hurt people.
But if I do multiple flights of stairs I can trick my brain into a strange Kumbaya Nirvana.
So up and down the 9 story parking structure 5 times. No biggie. What's for lunch?

Lunch was late and I was hungry
Apple with gorgonzolla cheese

Snack was tomato, basil gorgonzola cheese

Dinner was stale baguette toasted with olive oil, panchetta, tomato, basil and garlic.

I asked 3 if he liked it.
He said "Are you kidding me? This is fantastic!!!"
Then he picked off the tomato and basil and ate the rest.

Now he's naked running around yelling "Rutabaga!"

I'm ignoring this and calling Hubby.

Ce La Vie!

  1. I still don't see pastries when I look at a flight of stairs. (Even when I'm squinting.)
    I'll work on it.

  2. I must know, do you run all the way up and then all the way down when you do 10-50 flights of stairs or...?

  3. No! Never run! I had a long conversation with Shaboom about this. The stairs in France are very narrow so she walks up very carefully. I think this is important. Never rush.
    Great question!

  4. The thing about the running-out-of-tea reminded me of what my friend Anne used to say sometimes, like when we ran out of milk and had to use cream: "The best will have to do."
