Day 40 from France:
Stress Eating?

Shaboom sends us her update from Paris...

I could not sleep last night as I was stressing about the big move and my not being there. I laid in bed for 5 hours semi-paralyzed with panic (yes, I'm a little anal-retentive slash OCD) then finally got up in the middle of the night and was on the phone to The States until 7am before finally falling asleep at 9am.

I was awake again at noon. A pain au chocolat was waiting for me on the bedside table. Thanks, Obsessed!

Also to lift my spirits, Obsessed! made me crêpes intermittently throughout the day with our crêpe-off left-overs. The pear Nutella are my #2 favorites after buerre citron sucre.

I was a big blob of crazy stress today and other than pure nervous energy, I did nothing to burn any calories except for maybe up and down the stairs at home now and then to get to the kitchen.

  1. Semi paralyzed with panic.

My coping skill of choice, also.

    Good luck!

  2. Up and down the stairs to get to the kitchen is totally my kind of exercise.
    (Must get stairs.)

  3. Empress - thanks!

Lisa - maybe you could just block your kitchen doorway with a double sided ladder that you then have to climb up and down each time you want to get by...

  4. I have still not conquered even one stair...I've been holding together a suicidal friend for the last three days and am working on approx 4 hours of sleep over that time...I think I've got the semi-paralyzed panic thing down! But today, thankfully, things are looking up!!! (crap...now I REALLY have to face those stairs!)
