Day 19 From Burbank: A Different Shade of Blue

Karen sends her posts from Burbank, CA, USA

I have never been to Provence, France, but I imagine unending lavender, rosemary and thyme.

The sky, a different shade of blue.

Flowers so intense it's like being awake for the first time since winter.

Today was a day like that.

A day that makes my heart a little sad because it's almost gone.

Today is 5 years since my Dad died.

In his honor I will live with passion.

I stopped to see the bees work.

I was grateful knowing I could push my body to do what I wanted.

I ate with passion.

I loved.

40 flights of stairs

Too much coffee

1 beautiful pastry

A long walk to get milk.

Baguette with tomato, basil and garlic. (Sorry honey)

Apple with Cheese

Pasta and a salad for dinner

I miss you Dad.

  4. Your dad can't have been more than 18 years old in that picture, no? I love to see B & W pics like that, especially those in pristine condition.

Sounds like your dad was very much with you throughout your lovely day.
